Belonging Builders

Free Planning Tools for Inclusive Classrooms and Spaces

As we’ve learned alongside our early childhood and elementary school partners and listened to disabled adults, we’ve learned how communities co-create belonging together. We call these shared practices the Belonging Builders.

Each Belonging Builder is a multi-page resource with examples, reflection prompts, and practical planning ideas. Click on the images below to explore the complete resource for each Belonging Builder: Connection, Presuming Competence, Communication, and Meaningful Choice.
